Electric truck? Long distances? Does it really work? Let’s find out!
Last Friday (Nov 1st) our first all-electric commercial transport from Gothenburg to Malaga began. Our haulier JTW rented a Volvo EL tractor unit via Volvo Truck Center in Gothenburg. Experienced driver Niklas Svensson is driving. It is no problem to find charging opportunities, but the difficulty is to get to the charging stations. Niklas went out with Stena Line Gothenburg-Kiel on Friday and is on Monday in France, we unload some goods for Volvo AB in Pamplona on Tuesday and finish via Madrid in Malaga on Wednesday. The tour will be 6000 km and now we hope our Spanish friends will have the opportunity to recover from the catastrophic consequences of the recent terrible weather.
